Hyland and Sons Handyman Services

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Data controller

Edward Francis Hyland (Hyland and Sons Handyman Services). NIE: Z3532481J. Address: C. Camelia, 2, 29630 Benalmádena (Málaga), España. Phone: +34 672 91 78 16. Email: caehyland@gmail.com.

2. What data we handle

When you send the quote form, we save the details you enter: name, email, phone number, town, type of job, your message, the language you used and whether you ticked the box to receive emails. The form then opens WhatsApp on your device with your message ready to send.

If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, we handle the details you give us: name, phone number, town, job address, a description of the job and any photos you attach.

3. What we use it for

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, organise and carry out the job, and issue the invoice. We do not build profiles.

Only if you tick the box on the form, we will also email you maintenance reminders and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any of those emails or writing to us.

4. Legal basis

Taking steps at your request before a contract and performing the service contract (article 6.1.b of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), your consent when you contact us or tick the box to receive emails (article 6.1.a), and compliance with legal obligations such as tax rules (article 6.1.c).

5. How long we keep it

If you do not go ahead with the job, we delete your details within one year of our last contact. If you become a customer, we keep them for as long as we work together and then for the periods required by Spanish tax and commercial law.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or pass your data to third parties, except where the law requires it (for example, to the Spanish Tax Agency).

We use WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., part of Meta) and Gmail (Google Ireland Ltd.) to communicate, and they handle data under their own privacy policies. These companies may transfer data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards set out in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

To display the typefaces, your browser downloads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address. The site and the quote requests sent through the form are stored on servers run by web hosting and database providers acting as data processors.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to caehyland@gmail.com.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

8. Cookies

This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It only stores the language you choose (English or Spanish) in your browser so it is remembered next time. This is technical storage that does not require consent, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in our services. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
